Last piece in the puzzle

We’re very pleased to announce the final piece in our Monday 23 March Listen Softly London puzzle.

Steev Burgess began his lyrical life writing and performing songs with, amongst others, Nikki Sudden and Mike Scott as well as doing a string of solo gigs around New York and Brooklyn.

In the last ten years he turned his attention to writing “proper poetry” and founded the Y Tuesday poetry club in Clerkenwell with Line Hassall-Thomsen. Old habits die hard though, and Steev has recently been writing songs with John Hassall of The Libertines for his second band The April Rainers as well as exhibiting collage art and writing poetry pamphlets.

The Y Tuesday poetry club is a Listen Softly London favourite and takes place every first Tuesday of the month at the Three Kings in Clerkenwell. You can find out more about Y Tuesday on their facebook.

Tickets for the gig are £3 (concessions) and £5, and entry will be £6 on the door. You can buy your tickets here!
