LSL – Line up announcement – Wed 4 June

Listen Softly London is bringing critically acclaimed poetry, stories and comedy to The Crown, Southwark, on Wednesday 4 June.

The night, which features the very best in contemporary poetry, story-telling and live performance will be featuring Paul McVeigh, a short story writer whose work has recently been aired on BBC Radio 4, and London Antislam champion, poet Amy McAllister.

They will be joined by comedian Peter Bazely, who is preparing to take his show ‘How to Comedian LIVE’ to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this summer. There will also be three open mic slots available on the night and the show, compared by poet Dominic Stevenson, is being held in support of Southwark based charity, the Fostering NetworkPeter Bazely

Dominic Stevenson, host of Listen Softly London, said: “To have writers and performers of such high esteem coming down to Southwark will be a truly fantastic experience for all those who come down.

“All of the performers have won plaudits, been invited to perform all around the country and abroad, and we’re just so lucky that they’re coming down to perform in a prime Southwark venue.”

The gig starts at 7.30pm, Wednesday 4 June and admission is £3 on the door.
